Top Ten Disney Villains

In no specific order, we now present our top ten favourite Disney Villains!!

MALEFICENT

Maleficent is well known as the villain in the film Sleeping Beauty. Something perhaps even more interesting is the fact that she is often considered the most interesting character in the film. Not only are her powers incredible, but she also manages to turn into a dragon. Clearly Maleficent showed promise, because we can now catch Angelina Jolie.

URSULA

Ursula is one villain who can keep you guessing. When her original plan fails, she decides to transform herself into a beautiful woman and trick Prince Eric. There are very few Disney Villains who have a plan B to fall back on. No to mention the fact that Ursula is very sassy, and cunning. There were even deleted scenes where it was revealed that she was related to King Triton.

CRUELLA DE VIL

She could be considered the worst of the bunch, considering her entire goal was to kidnap puppies, skin them, and have them turned into a "stylish" coat. She was also certifiably insane, managing to hire two buffoons, and have a mansion to hide 99 puppies. Thankfully this villain didn't succeed.

JAFAR

Jafar was Aladdin's nemesis, and boy was he good. He managed to trick Aladdin into retrieving the lamp, steal the lamp back from Aladdin, sort-of steal Jasmine (ick!) and become the most powerful sorcerer in the world. This guy deserves an award, because he also had one of the best animal sidekicks, Iago.

SCAR

Let's start by saying that Scar is a total jerk. He tries to kill his nephew not once, but twice! Then as his brother dangles over the side of a cliff...He pushes Mufasa off! Then he starves the Pridelands, and in a deleted scene, he even tries to make a move on Nala. So not cool, Scar.

QUEEN GRIMHILDE

The starting point for all Disney Villains, Queen Grimhilde decided to kill her stepdaughter, because she was pretty. Not only that, but she tried to have her heart cut out, and then poisoned Snow White with an apple. True, everything turned out fine, but the chase sequence between the Dwarfs and the Queen is still pretty epic.

MOTHER GOTHEL

Perhaps the scariest thing about Gothel is that she raised Rapunzel for her hair. In fact, you may notice that Gothel repeatedly kisses Rapunzel's hair, and is obsessed with keeping Rapunzel hidden. Gothel is also immortal, or she is while she has the magic golden hair. Then she stabs Flynn, and tries to drag a chained Rapunzel away. Yikes!

QUEEN OF HEARTS

The Queen of Hearts is legendary. She plays croquet with flamingos, has an army of playing card people, not to mention her motto. She rules Wonderland with terror and fear, no one dares mess with her, not even the Mad Hatter. Off With Her Head!

Shan Yu

Even though Shan Yu plans to invade China, the root of his evilness is not revealed for a while. One of the scarier scenes is when he releases two chinese scouts, then turn and asks "how many men does it take to deliver a message?" and the answer.."One.". You later find out that he murdered an entire village. The only good thing is that he is the only one who treats Mulan like an equal, so at least he didn't add sexist to his list of problems. Do not mess with this guy.

JOHN CLAYTON

Clayton travels with Jane to Africa, where they want to "study gorillas". We later learn that Clayton plans to capture and sell the gorillas for money. Things only get worse when he murders the leader of the gorilla group, Kerchak.
