Crafts 1-Minnie Ears

I've decided that I will try to post craft ideas as often as I can. So I thought that I should start at the base of all things Disney, the legendary mouse!
Making these ears are simple! They are great for Halloween Costumes, your family trip to Disney World, or even dress-up for the little kids you babysit.

MATERIALS:
* A headband. About 1/2 inch thick, any colour will work because you're going to cover them.
*Black Felt, get lots, depending on how many ears you're going to make.
*Several sheets of cardboard, again colour doesn't matter.
*Something to trace a circle.
*Scissors
*Chalk or white pencil to trace.
*Sharpie
*Hot Glue Gun, lots of glue!
*Ribbon for the Minnie Bow, any colour you want.

STEPS:

1. Cut out a strip of black felt slightly longer than your headband. Place a line of hot glue down the center of the strip. Quickly but carefully press the headband down. Using hot glue, wrap the two sides around the sides of the headband. Place a dot of hot glue on the end and gather the extra felt into a little bunch.

2. Trace circles on cardboard. Cut out one circle per ear.

3.This next step is a bit complicated, but you need to trace on the felt, two circles, connected by a strip double the width of the headband (already wrapped in felt). I'm going to call these double-circles. Here's a picture to help.

4. Now cut out your double-circles, and glue your cardboard circles onto one end.

5. Now fold it over and fasten the other felt side onto the cardboard. DO NOT GLUE THE STRIP IN THE MIDDLE CLOSED!

6. Now slide your headband through the little loop the felt strip has created. When you decide where you want to position the ear, squirt a generous amount of hot glue into the loop, and press it firmly into the headband.

7. Repeat with a second ear.

IF YOU ARE MAKING MICKEY EARS, YOU ARE NOW DONE!>MINNIES CONTINUE

8. Cut a length of ribbon about 9 inches long. Fold it over until the ends overlap in the centre. Put a small amount of glue to hold it in place.

9. Now wrap a smaller piece of ribbon around the middle of the bow. Glue it firmly.

10. Fasten the bow to your ears with lots of hot glue. And voila, your own Minnie/Mickey Ears!

I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial! If you have any questions feel free to comment!
