Top Ten Songs

These songs are in no particular order, simply a list of great Disney Songs. We will most likely do another list at another time.

LET IT GO-Idina Menzel
Let it go is the highlight of Frozen for many fans. No only is it the first time we really get to see Elsa's powers, it is also one of the best songs ever to come out of Walt Disney Studios, staying #1 on the charts for five consecutive weeks. This song is delivered beautifully and is full of incredible sassiness.

COLORS OF THE WIND-Judy Kuhn
Colors of the Wind remains one of the most moving songs ever to hit the screen. An incredibly moving song about the environment. With incredible visuals and lyrics that stick in your head, Colors of the Wind is often the first thing that comes to mind when people here the word Pocahontas.

REFLECTION-Lea Salonga
While not necessarily being the defining song of the movie Mulan, (some might argue that I'll Make a Man Out of You is better), Reflection is the song where we truly learn the depths and inner conflicts of Mulan's character. The full version of the song is actually far better, but didn't make it into the movie.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST-Angela Lansbury
Sometimes called Tale as Old as Time, the actual title to this song is the same as the title of the movie, Beauty and the Beast. This is the song that really brings Belle and Adam together, and sticks in your head forever. The sightly less well-known cover by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson is wonderful as well.

PART OF YOUR WORLD-Jodi Benson
Part of your world is easily the best song in The Little Mermaid. This is the first song that Ariel sings, and is also the song that Prince Eric hears, leading him to become obsessed with finding the girl who saved his life.

CIRCLE OF LIFE-Carmen Twillie and Lebo M
As soon as you hear the first note of this iconic song, you should know what movie you're watching. The song that defines the incredible movie The Lion King, Circle of Life is one of the best songs ever, and is truly one of Disney's greatest hits.

A WHOLE NEW WORLD-Brad Kane and Lea Salonga
One of the best duets in any animated feature, this song is pared with a magic carpet, literally the entire world and an incredible love song. One of the defining points in the film, A Whole New World will stick in your head and you can be sure that you will watch Aladdin again and again.

ONCE UPON A DREAM-Mary Costa and Bill Shirley
Once upon a dream is an incredible song. While it doesn't teach children how to handle meeting strangers in the woods, it still is an incredibly well done duet. Not only is the music itself epic, but the way it moves the story along is incredible.

I SEE THE LIGHT-Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi
The duet from Tangled is an absolute masterpiece. Not only is it where Rapunzel and Flynn fall in love, it is also where Flynn Rider realizes that he needs to give up being a thief and become just plain Eugene Fitzherbert. This is the song that changes the movie.

ALMOST THERE-Anika Noni Rose
Almost There from The Princess and the Frog is one of the few Disney Princess songs that teach people to work hard to achieve their dreams. Unlike princesses like Cinderella, Tiana works hard to open a restaurant, and this song shows that she will do whatever it takes to accomplish her father's dream.

There you go, a list of amazing Disney songs, yours truly,
